How Does It Work

The patent pending process accomplishes Naltrexone (antagonist) (opiate blocker) saturation in hours without a lengthy period of opiate abstinence or use of staged ramp down with alternative opiates.

With Naltrexone in place, the opiates in your system will not be able to re-attach to your receptors. At the same time, Naltrexone keeps your receptors “calm,” thereby avoiding the primary cause of withdrawal symptoms.

It’s really that simple. We put you in a relaxed state, we deal with the opiates and your body’s need, and then you wake up in recovery.  You may still feel a bit ill, like you have a mild flu – but those who have experienced detox know that this is nothing when compared to full-on withdrawal.

Clients spend the next two days under observation and on the last day, they receive a medical evaluation and then head home to a new, opiate-free life.

For heroin and other opiate drugs to produce their effects they need to be able to attach themselves to small areas in the brain and nervous system called receptor sites.  Naltrexone not only blocks these receptor sites, which prevent any opiates from working, but also displaces or removes any existing opiates that currently occupy those sites.  Such drugs are called “opiate antagonists”, which means if you take naltrexone while you are using opiates you will find yourselves “withdrawing” quickly and intensely as the opiates are readily removed from your receptor sites, and your body reacts to their absence.  However, if you have been detoxified, taking naltrexone may help keep you abstinent as using opiates simply will not work.  Naltrexone is a long lasting, from 24-72 hours depending on the dose, in tablet form and even longer, 30-90 days as an implant for long term antagonism of the receptor site and abstinence from opiate drug use.
